Welcome to Meet My Character Monday. Today I’m going to introduce you to Mick, ruler of the Water Realm Hasani. You first met Mick in book one, Meanmna. You learned a lot about his past in book two, Bienn-Theine. In book three, Eitlean (which releases March 4th! Yea!) Mick’s entire life gets rewritten by fate… And Sarette. Enjoy!

Status: He and his twin Mica are the unmated fraternal twin rulers of the Water Fey.
Scientist in a world without science.
In a fake relationship with someone, he’s denied his feelings for, for a very long time.
Parents: Lara and Dylan killed last year in an ambush on the way to help one of the royal family’s servants—the chef at Castle Hasani—whose home was under attack.
When and where is the story set? Eitlean begins during the final battle at the end of Meanmna: Book One of the Daearen Realms. Mick shows up in the story at Melinda’s with Mica, Mathew, and Lilly.
What should we know about Mick? He is literal and has a tendency to say what he’s thinking regardless of the consequences. He had thought he was in love with Lilly for years, and that’s left him with skewed ideas about finding his Mazon.
What messes up her life? His feeling about Banee-Belle, the good and the bad.
What is the personal goal of the character? It changes in the story. You’ll have to read it to find out!

~Synopsis~
Banee-Belle of the Air Fey has been preparing to rule Eitlean her entire life…in complete secrecy.
Necessary because she is not the heir to the throne. But, her older brother Phillip is at risk of turning dark and her twin, Beathan has no interest in ruling. She knows she’s the right fey for the job, but she already has a job. And that’s another problem. By using every fey’s impression of her—a pretty-pretty princess party girl—to gather intelligence, no fey would ever believe she’s fit to rule.
Hiding the real Banee from everyone around her since the age of thirteen has become unbearable, and even though the queen relies on her intelligence in matters of life and death, Banee is unsure how much longer she’ll be able to keep their little secret. Dark magic has spread and gaining traction in Daearen, threatening the wellbeing of every fey, as well as the humans on Earth, threatening to destroy the balance within the realm Banee, her family, and the queen have fought to maintain.
But all may not be lost… When Banee discovers an ancient clue, one which could lead her to the Heka Grimoire—the first book of magic—hope returns to her heart. If she can employ her wits and solve the puzzle, she will gain access to the most powerful spells ever written within the realm, which she hopes will be the weapon the Light Fey can wield against their evil counterparts. But before her quest leads her very far, Banee learns she must team up with the one fey who never fails to belittle her. The fey who broke her heart and left her to live an incomplete life, a fey never made whole.
Can Banee push aside her contempt and distrust to complete her most vital mission yet? Will she have the strength to face her own broken heart to prove she is so much more than pretty—and save her fey in the process?
