Welcome to my 20th Snippet Sunday ~ Weekend Writing Warriors Post! This week’s snippet takes place immediately after last week’s that you can find here. Elwin just told Sarette what is supposed to happen when something including the throne in Daearen is left unbalanced it causes tornadoes, flash floods, tsunamis on Earth and then Mom says…
“When the Spirit Fey throne was left unbalanced it didn’t create an event here, it created a void or darkness in Daearen and there has been fighting within all the realms ever since that day. Sarette, when I told Roland that he was going to be a father, he wanted to come back, but I wouldn’t let him.”
“Wait! You talk to him? How come I’ve never talked to him?” I was practically screaming, “You guys didn’t think I should know about this? I want to see my dad, now!”
Tears were flowing down my face, and I looked from Elwin to my mom. Elwin, his eyes cast downward was kneading his hands together, and my mom sat there calmly.
“I can’t do this!” I screamed as I pushed out my chair and then ran up the stairs to my room and flung myself across my bed, burying my head in the pillows.
