Welcome to my 14th Snippet Sunday ~ Weekend Writing Warriors post! This week’s snippet takes place immediately after last week’s snippet that you can find here. Sarette has walked out on top of the water to Elwin and he says he’s never seen anything like that…
“Anything like what? I hope I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I didn’t have to come and get you. You didn’t even have to ask and everyone has to ask. Wow.”
He was staring at me, distracting me with that beautiful smile of his, but I had to know, “You still haven’t told me what you are.”
He leaned down a little, clenched his fist, and placed it over his heart as he said, “My name is Elwin Colin of the Water Fey. I am a knight of the High Spirit Court and you…”
He paused and looked sad then bent down so his mouth was right next to my ear and said, “And, you are my princess, a fairy princess.”
“I’m a fairy princess,” I whispered then felt his arms tighten around me as I fainted.
