Transformation Competition Tuesday ~ Week Two

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Well, week one is done and dusted for the 12-week transformation competition on my coach, Jaco De Bruyn’s website. It was also check-in day. My numbers were great! Weight went up, body fat down, not too much movement with my measurements but the ones that did, moved in the right directions! It was a pretty fabulous week last week, although it started rough I ended strong.

Last Monday, I wasn’t still under the weather from being sick the week before, but I was still weak and knew my workout would be less than stellar as soon as I began to warm up. I ended up pushing Monday’s Chest day to Tuesday and Monday did some cardio just get my energy back.

Then Tuesday… Crushed chest day! It was a fantastic workout, the kind where you’re like, “Five sets, bah! I’ve got more in me to give, I’m doing eight, and increasing weight even with the supersets!” I pushed myself until I literally got to the point where I could not lift the dumbbells more than a couple of inches. It was awesome! I admit, I do hold back a little on the barbell chest presses because I don’t have a spotter working out from home, so I keep that to my three rep max to prevent injury. That was just the beginning. The rest of the week’s workouts went as well as chest day. Great freaking week.

But, rough time taking pictures yesterday. As soon as I put on my bikini the kids, their Spanish teacher, the construction crew (yes, the project is still ‘almost done’), everyone needed me for something. So I just snapped a couple of pictures in the mirror instead of setting up my phone and setting the timer. It can take forever to get the angle right doing it that way. Good news, though, I don’t have to submit these pictures for the contest, but you can see a couple.

Not bad for a week, huh?

Next week, I’ll let you know how week two went!

Have a great Tuesday and week everyone!
