Transformation Tuesday… On a Friday!

My almost heaviest 197lbs & Me at a recent check-in!

Happy Friday Everyone!

On Tuesday’s from now I’m not going to be talking about writing. I’ll let you know why I’m bringing it up on a Friday in a minute. You might not know this about me, but I’m a bit of a health and fitness nut. I’ll give you guys the whole story at a later date but to make it short, I’ve lost 100 pounds twice and kept it off. First time all me, second time was from babies.

A little more than a year ago I decided to take my fitness to the next level and began bodybuilding. I absolutely love it! I’m training with the Aesthetics Academy, and it’s changed my life. It’s had such an impact on so many areas not just physically; although I couldn’t be happier with where I am and where I’m headed. (That happy about my body feeling… Yeah, that’s new.)

When folks hear about what I do, often I’m asked if I’m going to compete one day. And the answer is, I have no freaking clue. I am so on the fence and go back and forth on it I feel like Humpty Dumpty. There are so many things to consider.

First and foremost, do I have what it takes? I read an article recently, “Should I Compete in Bodybuilding?” on the Aesthetics Academy website, and quite frankly it scared the bejeezus out of me. Holy moly contest prep sounds harsh. However, if I put things in perspective, I can do anything I set my mind to and if I work hard enough, be successful. As long as I don’t think about how if I’m successful, I’ll be standing on a stage in a bikini, next to other women in bikinis, who are unbelievably beautiful, to be judged… Okay, not tackling that one yet.

It’s a huge commitment and investment to make if I’m still on the fence. So what do I do? I sign up for a 12-week online transformation contest on my coach, Jaco De Bruyn’s website as a test run. So come Monday morning, I will stand in the bikini that my awesome husband bought for me when he took all the kids to the beach, so I could write in peace and quiet for a couple of days, yeah, he’s that awesome. And I will take three pictures in said bikini holding something with the date on it and in four weeks take them again and upload both sets to Jaco’s website then again in eight and twelve weeks. The public will vote on a winner at each phase.

In the meantime, I’m going to work my ass off and will post my progress on Transformation Tuesdays to let you know how the week went. I am bringing this up now if there is anyone else interested and who wants to do this with me click here for all the contest details! You have until Monday to sign up for one of Jaco’s plans to become eligible (You can sign up for a month trial for only $1!). AND!!!! There’s a picture of me on the home page! The first one to find me and comment below, I’ll send you an eBook!

Wish me luck folks!
